Updated

Arabic with AMAU is a comprehensive Arabic language program designed to help students understand the Qur’an and Islamic texts.

The program focuses on developing the key skills needed to read and understand Arabic, including vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure.

Lessons are structured so students gradually build their understanding of the language. Over time, students become more comfortable reading Arabic texts and understanding the meanings behind them.

Arabic with AMAU is beneficial for students who want to deepen their connection with the Qur’an and gain direct access to classical Islamic sources.

Fluency varies from person to person and depends on your effort, consistency, and practice.
This course is designed to help you build a solid foundation and reach a level of basic fluency—enough to understand and communicate in everyday situations, provided you revise and apply what you learn. Reaching native-level fluency usually takes several years of continued study beyond the course, but this program sets you firmly on the right path.

Students who pass the exams will receive a signed certificate from the instructor confirming completion of the course. These certificates are not accredited and are intended for personal achievement. They are not meant for official use in academic institutions, professional settings, or as tazkiyyah.

We suggest watching the first video of each section to see which level suits you best. Since we don’t offer placement tests, the best way to find your starting point is by assessing it yourself. If a section feels too basic, move forward. If it seems too advanced, go back to the previous one until you find the right fit.

Should I start with Arabic with AMAU or the Student of Knowledge program?

If your goal is to become a student of knowledge, we recommend starting with the Student of Knowledge program. It includes access to Arabic with AMAU, allowing you to focus on Arabic while also exploring other areas of Islamic learning that interest you.
