Cast AMAU to Your TV: Web & Mobile Browsers
Updated
Mobile & TV AppsIf you prefer watching lessons on a larger screen, you can cast AMAU videos from your browser to your TV using Chromecast or AirPlay.
Casting allows you to control playback from your phone or computer while viewing the lesson on your television.
Why Casting is Better than Using Your TV Browser
Many students try to open websites directly on their TV, but TV browsers often struggle with playback, buffering, or missing features. Casting from a computer or mobile device provides:
-
Better video quality
-
Reliable playback
-
Ease of control from your phone or laptop

Troubleshooting Browser Casting
Can’t find your device?
-
Ensure both the TV and the casting device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
-
Restart Chromecast, Apple TV, or your smart TV.
-
Make sure your browser is up to date.
Video won’t cast?
-
Clear your browser cache and cookies.
-
Lower the video quality if experiencing buffering.
-
Update your browser to the latest version.
Casting icon missing?
-
Use Google Chrome for Chromecast, Safari for AirPlay.
-
Try incognito/private browsing to avoid conflicts.
-
Temporarily disable Bluetooth if nearby devices interfere.
Extra Tips:
-
Chromecast streaming from a browser does not automatically track watched lessons or video streaks, while AirPlay does track your progress correctly.
-
Only certain browsers are supported: Google Chrome for Chromecast and Safari for AirPlay; using other browsers may prevent casting icons from appearing or cause playback issues.
-
Keeping your browser up to date helps avoid errors and ensures smooth playback.
-
For the best and most seamless experience, using the dedicated AMAU mobile or TV apps is recommended---they track your progress, mark lessons as watched, and maintain streaks automatically.
-
Paying attention to these points allows your focus to remain on absorbing beneficial knowledge, rather than troubleshooting technical issues, making your study sessions more effective and consistent.
