Who Are the Teachers at AMAU?

About AMAUAMAU’s programs are taught by qualified scholars and teachers who have spent years studying the Islamic sciences. Their role is to guide students through structured learning while ensuring that the material is authentic, clear, and beneficial.
The teachers at AMAU bring different areas of expertise, ranging from Hadith and fiqh to Qur’an studies, Arabic, and curriculum development. Together, they help shape the learning experience for students across the platform.

Shaykh Dr. Asim al-Qaryooti (حفظه الله)
Senior Scholar & Academic Advisor
Shaykh Dr. Asim ibn Abdullah ibn Ibrahim Al-Khaleeli Al-Qaryooti is a respected scholar and one of the senior students of Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani. He also studied under other well-known scholars, including Shaykh Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz.
He holds a PhD in Hadith and has served as a Professor of Prophetic Sunnah and its Sciences at Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.
In addition to his academic work, he has served as a member of the editorial board of Sunan Al-Muhkamah magazine and is involved with the Saudi Scientific Society for the Sunnah and its Sciences. At AMAU, he contributes as an academic advisor.
Shaykh Muhammad Tim Humble (حفظه الله)
Director of Academics
Shaykh Muhammad Tim Humble is widely known for teaching Islamic knowledge in the English language. After accepting Islam, he pursued formal studies and later graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah, specialising in Hadith and Islamic Studies.
He has extensive experience teaching Arabic and has developed teaching materials for Arabic learners. He has also worked as a translator for several Islamic publishing companies and has delivered lectures and educational programs in different parts of the world.
At AMAU, he oversees the academic direction of the platform and contributes to many of the courses available to students.
Shaykh Muhammad Huzaifah (حفظه الله)
Head of Qur’an & Tarbiyyah
Shaykh Muhammad Huzaifah is an Islamic educator from the United Kingdom. He holds a BA in Shari’ah from the Islamic University of Madinah and an MA in Islamic Education.
He has memorised numerous classical texts and holds multiple ijazat in Qur’anic recitation. In addition to teaching, he serves as an imam and educator in Bradford, where he leads prayers and delivers lessons and khutbahs.
He has also authored works such as The Authority of the Sunnah and continues to teach both locally and through educational platforms.
Shaykh Abubakar al-Khalafi (حفظه الله)
Head of Curriculum Development
Shaykh Abubakar al-Khalafi spent more than twelve years studying at the Islamic University of Madinah. After completing studies at the Arabic Institute, he continued into the Faculty of Shari’ah, where he pursued advanced studies in Islamic law.
He later completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, with postgraduate research focusing on Takhrij al-Furu’ ‘ala al-Usul, a discipline that connects legal rulings to their foundational principles.
He is currently pursuing doctoral research in the objectives of Islamic law (Maqasid al-Sharia) and contributes to the development and structure of AMAU’s academic programs.

A Note for Students
Seeking knowledge is a long journey. Teachers provide guidance, structure, and clarification along the way, but the benefit of that knowledge depends on the student’s effort, sincerity, and consistency.
The goal is not simply to complete lessons, but to understand what is being taught and apply it in daily life.
